RB25DE and DET engines with VTC utilize a variable valve timing intake sprocket which shares several components with the VG30 sprockets. Unfortunately, this means they are also susceptible to VTC noise just like the VG units. The RB sprockets bear an uncanny resemblance to the late model (1994+) VG30 sprockets, with the primary difference being the RB's smaller belt drive cog. BDE can rebuild the RB series VTC sprocket to eliminate the noise, oil leaks, and move the camshaft timing adjuster bolts to the front for easy access.
